What's your favourite piece of technology?

HEY!!!

Today we are going to write about your favourite piece of technology. A piece of technology could be anything! From your mobile phone to a website or a domestic device at home (a TV, console, fan, etc)

Well I think this is the easiest question I have ever had to answer!!!

My favourite piece of technology is my phone.

I am pretty sure that most of you will say the same hahahaha.

So please do not copy my arguments :O

SInce I am a 90's teenager I have had many devices. walkman, CD player, camara, phone etc.

But it is sooo nice now a days to have all those things in one! I just love it!

The one that I have now it is a ZTE Blade a511. I got this phone 14 months ago, I am counting the days to get a new one. To be honest I do not like it that much. I have had many problems whith this phone but I have to wait for 4 more months in order to get a new one. The thing is that I have a contract with Entel so I just have to wait until it ends and get a new one, a different brand. I got this one because I did not have to pay for it. I have never lost it, I mean sometimes I cant find it, but I ask someone to call me hahaha

Before if I wanted to listen to music I had to have an mp3 player, if I wanted to take a picture I needed a camera but now it is soooo easy. The only bad thing is that the battery does not last as much as it used to. But that would be the only bad thing, it is so good to be able to even send

e-mails! Now that I work and study it is so useful to be connected all the time.

So these are the reasons why I choose this device as my favourite piece of technology.

Well since I have already finished my studies, I will tell you the real story of why I decided to become an English teacher.

                     Only the truth 

           and nothing but the truth

Well to be honest when I was about to finish school I wanted to study  soooo many different things. The options at that time were music teacher, chemist and pilot, yeah pilot!!

So when the time came and I had my results my father asked me what I wanted to study and since he could tell that I was all over the place he said: Sorry but I won’t pay for your studies this year, you have to think about it and next year you can start. Of course I got really upset but now I can tell that it was the best idea ever!
When I was 10 years old, I remember that I was on holidays with my family in La Serena. So one day I was listening to music on my walkman and I listened to a song which I really liked. This was in 1994 so there was no Shazam, if you wanted to know the name of a song or artist you had to wait until the song was finished and hope that the name would be given at the end, sometimes this didnt happen.
I got the group-s name, it was The Backstreet Boys. As most of teenagers I loved the BSB I still love their music but I am not in love of Nick Carter or any other of the members hahaha
At this point I guess you should be asking yourselves Why my teacher is talking about the BSB? at the end believe me that you will understand....
Well so the year after I finished school, I decided to work as a babysitter and also studied at a Preuniversitario.
One day, one of my sisters that works as a flight attendance took me with her to New Zealand as a birthday gift. There I met a guy, his name is Daniel. So it was kind of a summer love and when I came back I still had feelings for him. I went to see him during that year 4 times and we started dating. 

We talked about our future together so I thought, well why not to study something related with English. I love teaching and I love the Backstreet Boys so there you go, that’s why I am an English teacher now hahaha. I know it isn’t the best reason but now I cannot see myself doing something else.  While I was studying I always thought I would teach little kids but when I finished my studies I got a job offer for teaching adults. I liked the idea of trying something different so here I am.

                                                                    Who am I?

I'm Macarena Honorato and I'm an English teacher. I love teaching adults; I have been working as a teacher for about 6 years.

I was born in Santiago Chile. I am 33 years old. At the moment I am writing my thesis, I studied a Master in Education Major in English as a foreign Language at Universidad Central.

I love to travel! I have applied to 3 working holidays; USA, Canada and New Zealand.

Besides traveling, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and taking my dogs for a walk. One of my best friends started a very interesting project which is called “La Union”

The idea is to just relax and dance inside a circle. This is really nice, it is a kind of therapy. I am also a volunteer at "Fundación Honra" my cousin is the director.  It focus on Gender equality and Intimate partner violence.

Well my favourite movie is Inception. The main actor is Leonardo DiCaprio. The movie is about a group of people that can go inside somebody else´s mind through his/her dreams and put an idea in his/her mind. 

Talking about food, I really like lasagna and pastas in general.
